Dr Michael Lowy

Sexual Health Physician
  • Practices in Double Bay, Sydney at the Double Bay Specialist Suites and also offers Telehealth consultations.
  • Specialises in men’s health conditions, sexual medicine and counselling. He is specifically trained in the treatment of male sexual dysfunction (libido, erection, ejaculation disorders), relationship and sexual problems affecting individuals and couples.
  • Has worked in the specialty of sexual medicine since 1992, with an interest in the physical and psychological causes and treatments. He obtained his original medical degree from the University of NSW. He is a Fellow of the Australasian Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine and obtained a Master of Psychological Medicine from the University of NSW. Dr Lowy is also a Fellow of the European Committee in Sexual Medicine.
  • Has lectured in Men’s Health at the University of NSW, Notre Dame University, Sydney University and Family Planning NSW. He is a founding member of the Society of Australian Sexologists (SAS) and has been awarded a life membership of ASSERT NSW.
  • In addition to his clinical work, Dr Lowy has been an investigator in numerous clinical drug trials of medical treatments for male sexual dysfunction. He has been a member of a number of pharmaceutical industry clinical advisory boards.

  • Dr Sama is a General Practitioner with special interest in sexual health
  • He is also a GP supervisor which sees him proactively steering GPs to practice to the extent of their passion
  • Based in Cowra, regional NSW, Dr Sama understands the challenges of regional and remote medicine including the importance of access to specialised services and the importance of the multidisciplinary team working together to achieve positive patient outcomes

  • Margaret received her medical degree in Sydney and sexuality training in the USA. She then worked in Sexually Transmitted Diseases Clinics, Family Planning Clinics and General Practice for many years
  • She now works in private practice in Sydney, as a medical sex and relationship therapist. Her work covers positive male and female sexuality, sexual dysfunctions and the interpersonal relationships of both heterosexual and homosexual couples
  • She is an accredited Psychosexual Therapist from the Society of Australian Sexologists (SAS) and honorary life member
  • She received an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) in 2016 for her work in sexual health/sexuality

  • Dr. Katelaris is an internationally and nationally trained and respected urological surgeon.
  • Dr Katelaris first trained as a general and abdominal surgeon before sub-specialising in urological surgery. He then finished his postgraduate surgical training in Germany.
  • Dr Katelaris is a known urology specialist sydney and operates out of three locations – Hornsby, Castle Hill and St Leonards. He also performs surgeries at the renowned Sydney Adventist Hospital.

  • PSA ACT Early Career Pharmacist of the year 2024
  • Her passion for harm minimisation and improving consumer health literacy led to the idea for TaperMate, a mobile app and clinic service to help people safely stop medications that can cause withdrawal symptoms, such as antidepressants and benzodiazepines.
  • Dedicated advocate for patients who have been misinformed about the potential sexual side effects of psychotropic medications. Aims to educate health professionals about withdrawal and safe tapering methods.
